"A Beautiful and Peaceful Mosque in the Heart of Antalya

Tekeli Mehmet Paşa Cami is a truly stunning mosque located right in the centre of Antalya’s Old Town (Kaleiçi). The architecture is elegant and full of history, with beautifully detailed stonework, calligraphy, and a peaceful atmosphere that offers a welcome escape from the busy streets nearby.

The mosque is well-maintained and still actively used, which adds to its charm. It’s not just a historical site but a living place of worship. Whether you’re interested in Ottoman architecture, Islamic art, or just looking for a quiet and spiritual moment during your visit, this mosque is well worth stopping by.

A hidden gem that adds to the cultural richness of Antalya — highly recommended!"

"Such a beautiful and historical mosque in Antalya. It takes its name by the minister Mehmet Pasha. Located near the Old Town. It’s more than 400 years ago. Of course free entry. It resembles the interior design of Aya Sophia in Istanbul."

Abu Firas

"A very nice recitation by the imam. The mosque is historic and a decent size. There are separate wudu facilities for men and women in the courtyard. Jasmine flowers are planted near the mosque entrance, giving off a wonderful scent. Women can pray upstairs. The old stone structure is quite imposing, and the mosque has a grand feel both inside and out."
