"Free museum-like space. It’s a green space mostly with a large garden but underneath? There is a tunnel that was used as a fort so that makes it a 5 star. Plus, it’s FREE.

You’ll spend 20-40 minutes here depending upon if you walk the tunnel."

"Although officially closed due to the terrain being unstable, there were still a few people visiting and taking photos of the lovely view. The viewpoint can be easily reached by bicycle following the cycling route foe about 20min, depending how fast a rider you are. There's a path leading into the bushes which I suppose would eventually bring you to a spot where you can see the light house from the other side, but I couldn't find the path between all the bushes and plants. Definitely worth a stop if you're going to Ci Xing Tan anyway."

The Unique Charm of Pebble Beaches

Unlike the sandy shores common in many travel destinations, Qixingtan Beach is characterized by its vast expanse of smooth, rounded pebbles. This unique geological feature creates a distinct sound as waves recede and offers a different tactile experience underfoot. Visitors often find the rhythmic sound of the pebbles being pulled by the tide incredibly soothing. It's a perfect spot for a contemplative walk, where the crunch of pebbles replaces the soft whisper of sand. Remember to wear sturdy footwear, as walking barefoot on pebbles can be uncomfortable for extended periods. Reddit

The pebble composition also influences the water's clarity and the overall aesthetic of the beach. The smooth stones are a result of centuries of wave action and erosion, creating a natural mosaic along the coastline. This makes Qixingtan a photographer's delight, offering textures and patterns not found on sandy beaches. The visual contrast between the dark pebbles and the turquoise ocean is striking, especially during the golden hours of sunrise and sunset. Reddit
