Reviews Summary

Meinong Old Town is praised for its authentic Hakka culture, traditional crafts, and delicious local food, offering a charming glimpse into rural Taiwanese life. While some find the main street a bit small, the interactive workshops and the opportunity to savor unique Hakka cuisine make it a worthwhile visit, especially for families. Reddit+1

"90 minutes by public transport from kaoshiung.
it's not much to see or do here. the facility had just about 10 stalls with an ancient barn/structure.
stalls sell simple hakka food and some traditional snacks.
expect to spend about 60 minutes here the most unless u participate with the colouring program.
however u could go to meinong town to get some good and reasonably priced hakka food."

"Barely 500m street with stalls selling local snacks, Hakka cakes and souvenirs. Small place, won't take an hour to see all the old buildings and check out the stalls. Noteable food include Lei tea, mochi."
