What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the National Museum of Marine Science and Technology to be an engaging and educational destination, particularly for families. While some expected more live marine exhibits, the interactive displays on ship science and technology are highly praised. The rescue boat experience is a unique highlight, and the museum is generally well-maintained and accessible.
"Honestly thought there would be more to do and see. There are a few special exhibitions that changes and they require an upgraded ticket. You can take a bus here from Taipei for cheap and it only takes an hour. These buses require a transit card unless you purchase a ticket at a main station. Cash is not accepted!
Fun for the kids, not much to do hands on with fishes or anything. Most interactive displays have to do with science of ships.
I will say, the rescue boat on display at the bottom is pretty cool. You can go in and sit in the chairs and experience what it’s like to steer one of these."
