Everyone was very nice and the streets were cleaned with public bathrooms available! This is the last train stop on the line and worth riding the train up to it so you can also go hike in the nearby trails to the rivers and waterfalls! Otherwise enjoy the streets and foods!"

"Beautiful old street in Taiwan. Take a one hour slow train ride from Hsinchu train station to view and enjoy the scenery to and from this destination. I was here on a Monday and many shops were not open. I imagine that the crowd and activities will be a lot more on weekends. Lots of street food and sit-down restaurants and souvenirs and snack shops. All the stall owners are genuinely sincere and happy to chat with you."
