"We had rainy and overcast weather, but it didn't matter, the place is stunning!
We stayed at the temple guesthouse. Simple and functional. My room was large with a spacious bathroom.
The person who greeted us spoke perfect English, was very calm and friendly.
However, if you enjoy eating a lot, it's best to bring your own biscuits and other treats. The meals are very good, but simple and not very substantial. This isn't a negative review, just a suggestion for those who like to eat large portions."

"Taiwan has lots of temples and hiking places and this is one of them. It's pretty shaded along the way up. There is also another hiking trail about 1km up. We didn't attempt that as it will take some time. Following the trail up to to the temple, up the mountain, surrounded by greens, it makes me wonder how they built this temple! The temple looks pretty majestic to me and it was calming and quiet. Many elderly have hiked up and taking rests and chatting away around the temple. Further up, you can find a Buddha in a small cave. During festivals, it is usually very crowded and that explains the huge carpark place they have."
