"The Botanical Garden at the National Museum of Natural Science in Taichung is a beautiful and peaceful escape that brings nature and science together. Covering a large outdoor area, this garden showcases a diverse collection of native and exotic plants, with well-maintained walking paths, themed gardens, and interactive exhibits that highlight Taiwan’s rich biodiversity.
One of the standout features is the Tropic Rain Forest Greenhouse, a stunning glass dome that recreates a lush tropical jungle, complete with waterfalls and rare plant species. Outside, visitors can explore different ecological zones, including wetlands, medicinal plant gardens, and seasonal flower displays, all designed to educate and inspire appreciation for the natural world.
The garden is a perfect spot for a relaxing stroll, photography, or a family outing. It’s also a great complement to the museum, offering an outdoor learning experience that connects science with nature. Whether you’re a plant enthusiast or just looking for a refreshing break in the city, the Botanical Garden is well worth a visit."

"An active garden / park full of people walking and strolling and doing calisthenics and parents & children and older people and younger people. It’s a lovely circle of green in the middle of the city, and can act as a walking path, along with a great place to simply relax and enjoy looking at all the plants that are labelled, and that represent the different regions of Taiwan‘s flora.
Entrance to the garden is free of charge. I’ve never seen tickets being sold or used."

"The admission is quite affordable to me as I have paid 12x times more for a conservatory of this size. You can get tickets at a self-service kiosk although they don't take cash. Only digital payment for... 20NT.
I told the man at the door I had 20NT in cash so luckily he let me buy the ticket at the gate like the good old times.
The Botanical Garden has an aesthetic layout. It concludes with an indoor area that houses some amphibious exhibits and large fish. There's snacks available for purchase, restrooms, and a water dispenser in the building as well."
