Love this place! Wistaria Tea House in Taipei 🇹🇼 A Japanese-inspired tea house with a rich history 🥰 There’s a min spend of TWD400 per head, and you get about 3 hours seating time, but its worth it! 🫖 Been wanting to visit since forever. The building is steeped (pun intended) in history. It used to be the meeting place for socialists to exchange information in the 70s and 80s. My first tea brew...

Wisteria Tea House, Taiwan 🇹🇼 ウィステリアティーハウス 台湾 I visited this cafe when I was in Taiwan in February: ☕️ It is a historic place that was built in the 1920s as the home of the Governor of Taiwan(Japanese style house), and from 1950 it became a government dormitory and then a tea house. There is a sense of nostalgia and sunlight filtering through the trees. It was a wonderful place to enjoy a delic...

The patient staff and the unique experience of learning to brew tea are frequently highlighted as major draws. Some note that it can get busy, impacting the staff's availability for detailed tea explanations, and that the pricing reflects its historical significance.

"Drinking wistaria 2005 gongfu style. Absolutely delicious. Aged wood, subtle sweetness and notes of camphor. My last 5 grams 😭 Farewell!"

Joshua

"Money can’t buy happiness but it doesn’t hurt if you’re looking for serenity… and tea. I’m historically more of a coffee guy but I’m thinking of getting into tea. It’s more contemplative.

It’s definitely worth visiting this tea house if only for the experience. The staff are very helpful and sat down to show me how to brew the tea. I unfortunately had to do some homework here because I’m a cog in the education machine, but this would be an excellent place to meet a friend or—dare I say—a date."

Buddy Wilson

"When they get busy, they won't be able to spend a lot of time talking with you about tea, but the atmosphere is very nice and tranquil. I can't speak for the regular food, but the snacks that you can get with tea are good. Recommend getting here early on a weekday so there's no wait. Service was friendly, and there is an English menu for those who need it. You are required to spend 400NTD per person, which is reasonable. This is a nice place to relax with some tea in the middle of Taipei."
