Ximending is a highly recommended, vibrant district in Taipei, praised for its endless shopping, diverse street food, and energetic atmosphere. Visitors love the youthful vibe and the affordability of both goods and food. Some find the crowds overwhelming, especially during peak hours, and a few mention it can feel chaotic.
"Most of the stores are creating card ready but make sure to bring cash for the food stalls. There is this one brown sugar bona milk tea that is a must try! You will know because after getting off the station and entering the street it is at the center.
Also the white gourd juice is not bitter at all! Very refreshing for a humid night. It is not inside the ximending street but along the main road when you get off the station exit turn right. Go along the road and you will see the huge white gourd sign.
Go a bit further along and an awesome chicken place is there too! Great pairing for me"

"You have not been to Taiwan if you did not visit ximengding. The mother of all night market. Place is packed with the young and trendy. Fashion, food and souvenir galore. Spoiled by choices available. Pricing still reasonable. Managed to tried out the sotong noodle as the wait time is the least. Good meal with a starchy base. The white bitter gourd drink is also another winner"
