I showed up at the library without expecting joining any tour. I found that non-citizen could not enter the library, but a Kazakhstan boy helped me inform the reception. Very soon a tour guide approached me. She spoke fluent English, responded to my questions and gave me a informative tour (which lasted about 20 - 30 minutes). Everything was fine except that she told me to pay for the tour when I was about to leave. I asked what price I should pay and she suggested some one paid 100 somoni. It would make the tour much better if you can inform the attendants about the fee BEFORE (not after) the tour starts. I just felt cheated"

"Entrance in the basement, access card needed, tourist self guiding isn't allowed, only with guide, previous review said they can do it for free, but I was asked to pay TJS100 which the guiding will last for only 15-20 mins, and she the guide said it depends on which country you are from, ah ha! Then I told her I will put a review in google then only she says "you can pay if you wish but I have a meeting now (wow, it means she can skip the meeting if I pay her TJS100 😂)", so it's not a standard, pls ask before the guiding start like me since I heard too many tourist scams in the country."
