"Unbiased, honest review after spending 7 days here: Kite Center Zanzibar is hands down THE BEST KITESURFING CENTER in all of Paje! 😊 WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED SPENDING OUR DAYS HERE!
My friends and I came to Zanzibar on a 7-day holiday to do kitesurfing. We did a lot of research before hand and decided we will be using Kite Center Zanzibar as our preferred choice throughout our stay. Little did we know, this was the best decision we have made throughout this trip! Even after arriving to Zanzibar, on our first day we went to check out multiple schools on the beach (B4, Aquaholics, and several others). However, none were as friendly and accommodating as the team over at Kite Center Zanzibar.
We were first greeted by Stephanie! Who is super friendly, always smiling and easy going - an absolute pleasure to deal with! She explained to us all details about the spot, entry point to the lagoon, location of the reef, areas with seaweed farms (a place you should not go to during low tide), and all other aspects of where to ride in the lagoon. She also gave us a walk around the center and where all facilities were. We later met Baris whom we were also dealing with on daily basis and he was very kind and friendly with all our requests and inquiries. The crew on the ground helping us out (especially Saeed) were super kind and looking out for us all the time!
My friend and I know how to kite so we brought our gears with us. We rented a locker for the entirety of the week and it was brand new and clean. Felt very safe keeping our gear there.
Our 3rd friend is new to kitesurfing so he took the beginner course with their team members and absolutely loved it. They have very clean, well maintained equipment for students (walkie talkie, helmets, vests, etc). My other friend also took a 1-hour advanced lesson with Coach Mohammed to learn transition and he managed to do it from the first trial!! Absolutely brilliant! 😁
I personally rented a 17m kite on the days with low wind and it was in great condition!
Honestly, this was our first time in Zanzibar and it was such an unforgettable experience, mainly because we spent a great deal of time (most of our mornings) at Kite Center Zanzibar with Baris, Stephanie and the rest of the team!! We loved it so much that we wanted to extend a few more days but we had to return home for work :( - Next time inshAllah!"
