Recently completed my PADI specialties in Nitrox, Wreck, and Deep Diving with Joy as my instructor—and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
Joy is one of those rare instructors who combines deep technical knowledge with a fun, approachable teaching style. From the very beginning, he went above and beyond to make sure I felt confident and prepared. During our deep dives, he brought toys and props for scientific pressure experiments, turning each dive into both an adventure and a learning experience.
Becareful when you play tic tac toe with him underwater! He always wins because he has first movers advantage.
For the wreck specialty, Joy carefully walked me through rope tying techniques, taking the time to ensure I truly understood the procedures. He’s incredibly detail- oriented but also cheerful, bubbly, and always full of positive energy. Every session with him was filled with laughter and learning.
What stood out most was his genuine passion for teaching. Joy constantly checked in on my progress, patiently taught me new finning techniques, and always found little ways to help me improve. You can tell he really cares about his students and loves what he does.
If you're looking for an instructor who’s knowledgeable, fun, and truly dedicated to your growth as a diver, Joy is the one. I can’t recommend him and Coral Grand Divers enough. Thanks for an unforgettable experience!
