Reviews Summary

Visitors find King Rama II Memorial Park to be a well-maintained and peaceful destination offering a glimpse into traditional Thai life and history. The affordable entry fee and proximity to the floating market are frequently praised, though some note it's more of a cultural display than a collection of original artifacts.

"Though it's a memorial park related to King Rama II and is the birthplace King Rama II used to be born here in the past more than two centuries ago, it has nothing much to do with the keepsakes of King Rama II.

The buildings seem to be newly built, with waxworks demonstrating what the culture and lifestyle used to be like during the childhood period of King Rama II and during the reign of King Rama II.
It also has a small museum explicating the history of Samut Songkhram.

Not really an antique museum like Bangkok National Museum.
The 60 baht entry fee I think is very reasonable as the place is well maintained. Clean and tidy."

"A couple of hundred meters away from the floating market, nice, clean and quiet garden.
Each building is a small museum about local life and the history of King Rama II."

David V.

"Museums and Thai history is a big part of their culture. This museum, which was the home of Rama II, is kept in pristine condition. The boats are original while the fruits aren't. The spoon looking thing out of the rabbit's mouth is what they used to scrape the coconut flesh out of the coconut shell. Very interesting indeed. It's a lovely day out."
