"I joined a tour to Phi Phi Don Island and it was absolutely amazing. We were lucky with perfect weather, which made the whole trip even more beautiful. The tour included visits to four different islands, and the views at each stop were breathtaking – crystal-clear water, white sandy beaches, and stunning limestone cliffs.
Lunch was included and surprisingly good for the price, making this tour a great value. One tip: if you get seasick easily, be sure to take motion sickness medicine beforehand, as the boat ride can get bumpy.
Overall, this was one of the highlights of my trip to Thailand. I’d definitely love to come back and experience it all over again!"

"Beautiful Island. Busy with lots of tourists, and a great vibe. Lots of shops and restaurants and the half day boat tour to Mayo Beach and snorkeling around the island is a totally amazing experience."

Exploring the Islands: Boat Tours and Beyond
When choosing a tour, consider what's included. Many tours offer snorkeling stops, lunch, and access to various bays and beaches. It's crucial to book in advance, especially during peak tourist seasons, to secure your spot and potentially get better rates. Remember to pack motion sickness medication if you're prone to seasickness, as the Andaman Sea can get choppy.
Beyond the main attractions, consider visiting Monkey Beach for a chance to see local wildlife, or exploring quieter coves accessible by longtail boat. Some tours might also include stops at Bamboo Island for its pristine white sands and clear waters. The experience of cruising through the dramatic limestone karsts and turquoise waters is a highlight for many visitors.
Island Life: Accommodation and Atmosphere
While the main village can be bustling, quieter areas exist on the island, offering a more relaxed vibe. Some visitors find the island to be 'hell' or 'horror' due to the crowds and party scene, suggesting it's suited for a specific type of traveler. However, others describe it as a 'paradise' with a great vibe, offering both vibrant nightlife and peaceful coves.
For those seeking a more secluded experience, consider looking for bungalows on the less developed parts of the island, which may offer private beaches and a more tranquil escape. The island's unique geography, with its dramatic cliffs and bays, contributes to its enchanting and adventurous character.
Nightlife and Entertainment
Beyond the bars, the island hosts spectacular fire shows, where skilled performers entertain crowds with dazzling displays of fire-dancing. These shows are a must-see and add to the island's unique entertainment offerings. For those interested in local combat sports, Muay Thai boxing matches are also sometimes held, offering a glimpse into Thai culture.
While the party scene is a significant draw for many, it's worth noting that the island can become quite loud and busy at night. Visitors looking for a quieter experience might prefer to stay in more secluded areas or enjoy the evening from a beachfront restaurant.
