Bangrak Pier is a functional hub for ferries to Koh Phangan and Koh Samui, praised for its comfortable and air-conditioned vessels. While the boarding process can be a bit unusual, the journey itself is generally smooth. Some travelers have reported issues with management and communication, particularly regarding delays and lack of staff assistance.
"Nice, seamless ride over to Koh Phangan. Although the setup and boarding procedure is quite funky; the passengers make their ways to board the ferry through two ferries lol. The journey itself is nothing to fault - air conditioned spaces and fairly comfortable chairs.
The ferry is larger than the lomprayah and carries more passengers but the ride is slower.
The ferry arrives to Thong Sala Pier."

"This Pier is a small peer situated in Koh Samui doing direct Ferries to Koh Phangan.
The cost is around 350 Bhat about 7.50p or 10 dollars.
There is a bike to take luggage if needed. Elderly or disabled people will be given priority for seating.
There are at least 3 cafe/Restaurants just across the road.
Bike and car hire across the road also.
There are toilets on the pier.
A small helpful pier with on site purchase for tickets."

"No recommended for this company. They have pretty bad management, we booked tickets to Koh Pangan and the boat didn’t come in time. All passengers must wait and staffs could not explain anything seems like lack of English and communication skills. Also we had to wait for 2 hr on the way back as well. We didn’t see any staffs from this company take care of the passengers or even tell where to wait, we had to find by ourselves. They don’t have enough boat and didn’t care if seats available for all passengers or not."
