"A footbridge across the Ping River. This is a location for viewing people releasing water lanterns during the Loy Krathong Festival.
Just last month, the River below overflowed and flooded both sides. Causing lots of losses and damage to property and homes nearby. Even the Warorot Market has been closed temporarily in November."

"A bridge with a very romantic background story. See story below:
"Chansom Memorial Bridge (Khuakhaek)
This strong and stable bridge across the Ping River was constructed from the donations of Mr. Montri Koslaphirom (Motiram Korana), the owner of Chiang Mai Fabric Store, together with Chiang Mai residents, as a memorial of Mr. Montri's love towards his wife, Mrs. Chansom Koslaphirom. It is then named the "Chansom Memorial Bridge." This bridge was first completed in 1966 to replace the wooden one that was ruined every year during the rainy season.
Due to the damage detection in the bridge structure after having been used for a considerable length of time, the Chiang Mai Municipality then requested the funding amount of 8,360,000 baht from the Department of Local Administration to reconstruct it. The reconstruction was completed in 2016 during the administration time of Mr.Tussanai Buranupakorn, the Mayor of Chiang Mai Municipality.""
