What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Escape Portal is highly praised for its incredibly immersive Japanese-themed 'Shadow Zen' room, with visitors feeling transported to another world. The unique, in-game hint system and challenging puzzles are also major highlights. While the puzzles are rated slightly lower than the theme, the overall experience is considered 'absolutely worth the money' and a must-do in Bangkok. Some find the entrance a bit tricky to locate, but this adds to the mystery.
"Getting here is incredibly easy because it’s right next to the BTS and surrounded by some of Bangkok’s most iconic shopping malls. I had such a great time here. I came without any expectations, but I ended up being really impressed by the overall experience.
What stood out the most was the Japanese vibe, So you can really feel how much attention they put into every detail of the set design. It genuinely felt like walking through a Japanese drama. Honestly, just being able to soak in that Japanese vibe already made the visit worth it.!"

Escape Portal: Shadow Zen
"An escape room that takes you to another world the moment you walk through the door."
I recently got the chance to try out Escape Portal, a brand-new escape room franchise from Japan that’s finally made its way to Thailand! It’s actually one of the Top 100 Escape Rooms in the world, and now you can experience it right here without having to fly to Japan. The entire game has been fully translated into Thai, so no worries about language barriers — it’s all in Thai.
But if you prefer English, you can choose your language when booking. They currently support both Thai and English.
Right now, there’s only one room available: Shadow Zen.
The story takes you back 100 years, when a young monk mysteriously vanished. Your mission is to uncover what happened to him — all within one hour.
🌕 Theme: 10/10
This is where Escape Portal absolutely shines — and honestly, no other escape room in Thailand does it this well. The Surrounding is insanely immersive. Everything feels so real that even though you know it’s all set design but feel like you’ve stepped into another world. It’s honestly hard to describe — I still Amazing when talking about it. You just have to experience it for yourself. I very Recommend
🧩 Puzzles: 6/10
The puzzles aren’t exactly easy, especially if you’re new to escape rooms. There are subtle hints hidden throughout — you just need to keep your eyes open. Experienced players will probably spot them more easily.
What’s really unique here is that there are no help tools at all. Most escape rooms give you a phone or a bell to ask for hints, but not this one. If you take too long on a puzzle, a hint will appear naturally in the game itself. That design choice keeps the feeling at 100% — so cool!
👥 Who should play
Perfect for 2–4 players (not recommended to go alone).
If you’re interested, grab your team and book a slot — I’ll drop the booking link in the comments!
💡 Tips
You can park at the building — free for 1 hour, then 30 THB per additional hour recommend you go by BTS Chidlom.

Its located on the 13th floor of the building, parking spot is convenient for us and the staff is very kind and friendly, there’re also 2 options for languages there’s thai and english which is really good for foreigners.
