"First you take a boat to one end of the lake. From there, it is a 1 km walk to the entrance of the cave. A really beautiful path through the jungle. You can see monkeys, snakes and other animals along the way. There are leeches. You should definitely wear sturdy shoes that can get wet. Depending on whether you visit the cave in the rainy or dry season, the path to the cave is slightly different. Water flows through the cave. This is why it is closed at certain times, otherwise the danger would be too great. When we were there, the water in the cave was up to our chests. We also had to walk through waist-high water on the way. The cave is definitely worth a visit!"

"Exploring this cave, in which we had to swim through stretches of chilly water that was over our heads, was a mental challenge as well as a physical one.
Because of the water and humidity in the cave, the ceiling was teeming with bats. And there were spiders, frogs, and who knows what else on the sides of the cave, and most likely in the water we were submerged in.
At the same time, exploring this cave, 500 m or 1500 feet underground, was a special experience that Khao Sok national Park offered, and we may never be able to do elsewhere in the same way.
Thankfully we didn’t know about the tragic 2007 accident in Nam Talu Cave in which six tourists and two guides were drowned during a flash flood before we spelunked through this cave. We were also there in March, which is the dry season, unlike the accident, which happened in October, in the rainy season when caves are supposed to be off-limits, precisely because of the risk of flash flooding. Had we known about the accident, we would not have ventured into the cave, not for fear of drowning, but to respect the lives lost in that space."

"This has to be my favourite part of the entire 2D1N trip to Khao Sok National Park with a stay at the floating village. Not recommended if you are afraid of bats and gets panic if you have to swim, not for kids below 7yo too (in my opinion). But if you are a fan of caves, this is a must go! Walk through forest for about 1hour + enter the cave and walk through water for another 1hour. I am 160cm height, there are parts (less than 5mins) that I have to swim through as the water level is high. Amazing experience! Must wear anti slippery shoes and have torchlight with you."
