What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking misty mountain views from Doi Kiew Lom viewpoint, calling it a magical and unforgettable experience. The park is well-maintained, offering a peaceful escape with opportunities for camping and enjoying nature. Some mention that facilities like coffee shops can be closed, and the drive is winding, but the scenery is consistently praised.
"First stop in Mae Hong Son province if you're on the loop tour via Pai! There's a viewpoint about 4km north from the ticket booth (with winding roads too!) The officer told us it's foggy due to the rain but I absolutely loved the foggy view. There were also friendly dogs running around and welcoming us! It's the low season now due to the rain and people would usually come at the end of the year aka the cold season, as the terrace would be decorated with rows of colourful flowers.
The same ticket for this national park could be used to visit Tha Pai Hot Spring in Pai, if you're using it within the same day."

"Easy to arrive. Off 1095 to Pai. Unfortunately, Dang Park was misty, when I arrived. Positive, no doubt, vistas would be sensual, with clear skies"

"Huai Nam Dang National Park is absolutely breathtaking. The viewpoint at Doi Kiew Lom is famous for a reason – the sea of mist in the early morning with layers of mountains and the silhouette of Doi Luang Chiang Dao in the distance is just magical.
There are camping areas and bungalows available, so you can stay overnight and wake up to the misty sunrise. The weather is cool all year round, especially during the winter months. The facilities are decent, clean, and the staff are friendly.
The drive up is winding but manageable, and totally worth it. There are also nearby hot springs (like Pong Duet) you can visit for a relaxing soak.
Highly recommended for nature lovers, campers, and anyone chasing unforgettable views. Don’t forget your camera – this place is pure Northern Thai beauty."
