When I was booking our Airbnb in Chiang Mai I knew it would be close to Greg's place as long as it was near The Museum of World Insects and Natural Wonders! Well, today I finally stopped in for a visit, and it did not disappoint! It's quite a magical little spot!

Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Museum of World Insects and Natural Wonders for its incredibly vast and fascinating collection of insect specimens, fossils, and shells, highlighting it as a unique gem for nature lovers. However, many note the significant heat inside due to the lack of air conditioning, which can detract from the experience.

"Honestly, for someone who's very nerdy or into inseft collecting or natural stuffs (rocks, fossils, seashells), this place is very nice. Of course I found their collection fascinating. Lotssss of insects, some I've never seen.
Also keep in mind that they already warned about no air-con and that it's kinda hot inside. It was very hot for me and I was sweating like crazy.
Nevertheless, I admire the owner for having this expansive collection.

Ps. All collections are not alive. There are fans inside but still hot.
Entrance fee is 200 THB"

"Absolutely incredible little find in Chiang Mai. I had the entire place to myself and spent probably an hour and a half there. I'd absolutely attend again because I know I didn't see it all fully the first time. There are so many specimens!"

"Wow what a cool mini museum. It's basically in someone's house and it's full to the brim with bug and insect specimens and cool texts to accompany the exhibits. Highly recommend this weird little unique gem."
