What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find Tung Prong Thong to be a place of natural beauty with a unique ecosystem, particularly enjoying the affordable boat tours and the chance to see bats. However, many are disappointed by the significant disrepair of the boardwalks, which limits exploration and requires caution. The lack of maintenance is a recurring concern, overshadowing the potential of this otherwise charming location.
"This was now a big let down. We were here about 8 years ago and I comended this place as one of the best sustainable tourism projects in Thailand. It's a shame what it looks today and is a showcase of what is happening when no mainatenace is done. The beautiful wooden walkways are in broken condition and only about 200 meter of the overall more than 2km are still walkable.
So sad!"

"Went around 11AM and it’s super hot. Highly recommend going in the evening instead. The vibe is nice, walking in the mangrove part, but be careful of the broken boardwalk. Going on a boat tour along the mangrove is so serene. The boat also takes you to the sea and it costs only 50 bht per person. The uncle giving the tour is friendly and provides interesting info of the animals in there."

"Beautiful views and we had a great experience! A little neglected though. The bats made it worth it!"
