What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Port FC at PAT Stadium offers a highly authentic and affordable Bangkok experience, praised for its vibrant atmosphere, delicious street food, and friendly vibe. While the stadium is compact and the walk from the BTS is a minor consideration, the overall value and genuine community feel make it a standout attraction for locals and tourists alike.
"This stadium is cramped and below capacity for the ranking of Port Lions but where else around Khlong Toei could they possibly build a new stadium?"
Peter Schmaiisch
"A great way to have an authentic Thai / Bangkok experience in a place where you are genuinely welcomed.
It's fun, affordable (no dual pricing system here) and thankfully informal, compared to football stadiums in England / Europe.
Tickets are cheap (180B for best seats, cheaper options available) and easy to get from a small ticket booth at the north West corner of the stadium. Open 6 hours before kick off; I usually get mine 1 hour before. The wait time is maybe 5 mins.
On entrance you will get a stamp for re-entry. Once inside it's free seating in the stand.
Outside there are lots of food and drink stalls with some tables and seats. Be careful to only sit at the chairs that are attached to the small you bought from. It's not free seating and the stall owners can be a bit territorial.
Prices are very fair. A large Leo beer for 70B. They can be taken into the ground, no problem.
The football is of a decent standard and entertaining. There's a friendly atmosphere, with no real animosity. Suitable for families.
Overall, this is a fun, unique Bangkok experience, and well worth your time and effort."
Angus
"Very friendly atmosphere. Fans are great and Port FC won 3-0 against Chonburi.
There is market open before the match. Plenty of food choice.
Cheap ticket price, too!"
