Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Suan Pakkad Palace Museum for its serene atmosphere, beautiful traditional teak houses, and rich collection of antiques. It's noted as a peaceful escape from the city bustle, offering a glimpse into royal life without the overwhelming crowds. Some find it a bit hot due to its open-air nature, and photography is restricted inside the houses.

"Amazing place to learn about archaeological finds in Thailand and their epics.

You can easily spend 1 to 2 hours here. Lots of scenic views.

Place is kind of hot, there are some air-conditioned exhibitions but it is mostly open air. It's a good thing that they provide you with a hand fan.

Not many people visit here so you will have the whole area to yourself. I spotted less than 20 visitors overall."

"I got there on weekdays in the morning. No other tourist than us both. It was a guided tour. My tour guide was like my elementary teacher 😄. After this place we went to jim thompson house. Its quite near.

Its worth our time. But once is enough. The garden was beautiful. The houses also interesting. Some of them were very ancient.

Architectural attraction for me. But nothing else. There were some antique collection also in there."

paul dinardi

"A Prince and his consort's residence: in case you are looking for some quiet moments in this hectic part of town, this is the place.

The buildings house a museum with many valuable artefacts of ancient Siam, a number of rooms showing the presents made to them personally, their living-room, bedroom etc.

Today a lady will show you this place and tell you in English about its inhabitants and its history. Before you were allowed to discover it on your own.

Enjoy its quietness and atmosphere.

You cannot take any photos inside. Before you could.

Outside your selfies will reflect the mystical atmosphere of the Cabbage Museum - built in a former cabbage field.

The entrance fee is 100 Baht. You need not book your visit. We went there on a weekday and we were the only visitors."
