Understand the Entrance Fees

While the museum is affordable for locals and children, foreign adult entry fees can be surprisingly high. Consider if the exhibits justify the cost for you, or focus on exploring the surrounding Neon Wong fortress, which offers impressive ramparts and cannons for free.

"Great content , my kids enjoy the large ship and learn about many things. a bit old, smell the dust. not well maintainance. dont expect much. but it worth the visit. and a good place to spend time during the rainy day."

"The museum is about all maritime history of trading in Siam. With all vessels that have been used in Siam.

It is located up at the mountain in the old camp fort called Neon Wong fortress which was built in 1834. King Rama III of Siam in Siamese - Vietnamese war campaign. You can explore the old watch tower and the old brick wall which there were still canons on the walls.

One of interesting is the display that educated about underwater archeology of how/ history of old goods that were found under the sea bed in gulf of Thailand.

The highlight is big model of junk boat 1:1 which people can climb up and learn how it operate in the past.

And the last is the history of King Taksin campaign after the defeated of Ayutthaya. How he became the king of Siam in those time.

Unfortunately some of the materials shows very old and not proper maintenance. Hopefully any authority will manage budget for support this for tourists and students have better place for learn."
