Reviews Summary

Ancient City (Muang Boran) is widely praised as a unique and visually stunning open-air museum that offers a condensed tour of Thailand's architectural heritage. Visitors rave about the sheer scale and beauty of the replicas, making it a photographer's paradise and an educational experience. The main drawback is its size, making transportation within the park essential.

"A cool place to walk around and spend the day exploring. It is truly a massive area to explore.

You opt to walk, rent a bicycle, rent a e-bike, rent a golf kart or drive your own vehicle. Prices for renting the bike, e-bike and golf differ. Golf kart also has option for 2,4 and 6 people depending on your group size. You do need to hand in either your driver's license, passport or ID card when renting.

It is cheaper to book online than to pay at the entrance. Staff are very friendly when sorting your ticket out and a map is given of the area and all the attractions. They will also highlight some areas and give you the times for shows at certain areas.

Best to do as a day trip as it can take 4-5 hours to fully explore and see everything. There is places to get food and drinks so you will not go hungry or thirsty."

"I definitely recommend it. The scenery is beautiful. We rented golf carts as a group of four friends and enjoyed the trip. Golf carts cost 200 baht and are well worth it (you need a driver license). They provide a tour map, which includes 122 different areas. The tour takes an average of 4-5 hours."

Erdem Aydın

"See all of Thailand's major monuments in one place. It's especially nice to rent a golf cart, electric bike or bicycle, so that it's easy to park and hop on/off. We toured on our rentals, then found the places that we wanted to explore more closely. It's incredible how much work has been done. Notice that the huge site is in the shape of Thailand!

Take passport/driving license for rentals.
Combine with a short visit to Erawan Museum with the three headed elephant."
