"Hidden Forest delivers exactly what an ethical sanctuary should.
They picked us up from our hotel right on time, and from the moment we arrived it was clear this place puts the elephants first. The sanctuary itself is beautiful, the staff is knowledgeable and genuinely passionate, and the elephants are obviously well cared for. There is no riding and no forced bathing, which is exactly how it should be. We were able to feed the elephants and observe them up close as they freely moved around the sanctuary, which felt respectful and authentic.
A vegetarian lunch buffet was served nearby while the elephants bathed naturally, and the food was surprisingly good, especially the fried egg rolls. The staff did an excellent job explaining the background, care, and personalities of each elephant, and you really get to see their individual traits come through (Princess was a standout during our tour).
If you’re going to visit elephants, do it the right way. Support ethical sanctuaries like Hidden Forest."

"What a truly amazing experience.. highlight of our trip to Thailand. From the second we arrived at the sanctuary we felt so welcome and you can tell they truly appreciate visitors. They start off with an introduction and then show you a short video. Then the tour around the sanctuary starts and you get to give the elephants their snacks (bananas). The whole sanctuary is so beautifully set up, the elephants truly seem happy, relaxed and at peace. There’s zero forced interactions, the elephants just get to roam and do their own thing while we got to watch and observe. The guides are funny, friendly and so knowledgeable about all of their elephants. And they even provide you a
Vegetarian lunch which was so delicious.
This is truly a place I would love to return to again and again. Can’t think of a better way to spend an afternoon (or morning).
If you’re looking for an excellent activity to do while also supporting such a good cause, visiting this place is absolutely the way to go 🐘 ❤️"

"We had a very heart-touching experience at the Hidden Forest Elephant Reserve. It was so good to see how these elephants receive the respect and space they deserve and can finally live peacefully at this place, where they are treated well. Totally recommend this place! 💚
It does not pretend to be an ethical sanctuary, it IS an ethical sanctuary. ☺️
You can feel that all the people here do this with all their heart and try to make a change for the better. You can watch the elephants dive into water, playfully enjoy their surrounding and just be elephants. Everybody in the project can tell you so much about each elephant and their personalities. And the buffet food is amazing, too 😊 I loved especially the vegan food 😉🥰
And Louise is a very warm and welcoming person that compassionately tries to do everything she can for the elephants. Thank you and everyone in the team so much for your beautiful work! 💚"
