What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views and the stunning sunset at Noen Chang Suek Viewpoint. The unique Thai army border station adds an interesting element. However, the extremely rough access road is a significant drawback for many, with strong recommendations to use 4x4 vehicles or local pickup services.
"Well worth a visit, but not recommended to drive there yourself if no pick-up or 4X4, for bikes I’d recommend an off-roader only. Access road is in very bad shape especially during or after rain season (see pics).
I been here 8 years ago with my own bike and that time the road was already bad so no hope for quick improvement I guess.
You can best get transport from the bridge near the market, pickup taxis charge 70 THB per person for 2-3 stops."

"I guess it would be quite wonderful but we were unlucky because it was cloudy and rainy. We could not see anything. It's located at a Thai army base, complete with bunkers, sand bags and barbed wire.
To get there take a shared pickup truck from Pilok town, they start around 05:30 in the morning for 70B per person.
Do not attempt to use your own vehicle."
Michael
"Great view point, the best! But very bumpy access. Apparently there is a pick up car going up if you are keen. The first half of the track is the worse, good for bikes and SUV"
