What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Urban Playground is praised for its excellent rope climbing facilities and supportive staff, making it a great spot for beginners and experienced climbers alike. While the bouldering area might be smaller than dedicated gyms, the overall experience is enhanced by the multi-sport complex, including a gym and courts. Some find the day pass price a bit high if only climbing, but it offers good value for a full day of activities.
"Little wall with great things ! Let me explain , in comparison to stonegoat, well the boulder section isn’t much but I assume most people would come here for the ropes. And they do deliver very well . Autobelays probably a dozen range from 5a to 6b but they do have a great flow of moves. The big wall has 2 long sets on autobelays and it feels great for endurance.
Lots of top ropes and cool leads that ramp up to 7s and 8s, quite fun I must say .
Cool things : - belay system is up to you . Top ropes as always are on the thick side so the Atc is the best option but apparently even the staff uses Neox and that’s really good (it’s 2025 and not all walls have one)
- vibe is relaxed , it doesn’t seem to be crowded on weekdays and Check in process is super fast . No belay police walking around (you know what I mean) . But climbers seem fairly knowledgeable. Ropes were all pretty new and little shop for all your climb parafernalia.
- you also get access to other facilities (gym etc)
So yes I loved it and will be back ."

"A very big rock wall climbing gym near Sukhumvit Road. The nearest BTS would be Phrom Phong. There is a lot of problems for bouldering, top rope and lead. Staff are all nice and they would do verification for free before you can belay / lead. You can easily spend the whole day here."

"Good mixed of bouldering and top rope routes, including some auto-belay lanes. Climbing area is semi-aircon, a bit hot when I went there in the afternoon. Nice training facilities. Day pass costs 550 THB which is relatively pricey in Bangkok if you only plan to do climbing. But inside got a proper gym (personal trainer is available too), badminton courts, tennis courts and swimming pool. Definitely worth the price if you spend a whole day there."
