While not as grand as some other Bangkok temples, its convenience via the MRT and its status as an active place of worship make it a worthwhile visit for those seeking a more local feel.

"Hualamphong Temple in Bangkok impresses with its stunning, intricate design and vibrant colors, both inside and out. The detailed artwork on the temple walls and ceilings is truly mesmerizing. This temple is also well-known for its coffin donation program, offering a unique, meaningful way to support the needy. The combination of spiritual service and breathtaking architecture creates a deeply moving experience. Visiting Hualamphong Temple is both visually enriching and heartwarming, a true highlight of Bangkok’s culture. 🙏🏻"

"They will charge you 40 bath to enter the main compound of the temple. That is really silly .. even though I'm a Buddhist from Sri Lanka. Desi it is for temples renovation and for future. But who knows..

The temple is very calm. Nice paintings and Golden Buddha as usual. I think there are bodhisthwa statues also. It's open 24 hours as it advertise."

Ushan Withanage

"It is located in the heart of downtown Bangkok, right next to one of the exits of MRT Samyan Station, so it is very accessible. If you have a chance to go around the area, it is worth a visit."
