What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Bangkok Tree House offers a truly unique and visually stunning escape into nature, praised for its creative design and peaceful ambiance. While some guests find it a bit rundown and note the presence of insects, the exceptional hospitality and the opportunity to explore the serene Bang Krachao area make it a memorable experience for many.
"this hotel is best enjoyed as a relax from the bustle of the city. it Is possible to explore the city centre, but it's not the most convenient, so if you plan on doing that, prepare a whole day. the rooms were better than I expected with not that many bugs as I thought there would be. we did see 2-3 big ants, one of them in the bed, but honestly some other hotel I was at had more bugs in the room. the staff were very friendly and nice, they were helpful with our questions."

"Beautiful design and truly unique, but not the most practical stay.
Bangkok Tree House is definitely one of the most visually stunning and unique places I’ve ever stayed. The design, the concept, and the overall atmosphere are remarkable — quiet, green, and surrounded by nature in a way that’s almost impossible to find this close to Bangkok. The vibe was genuinely lovely: peaceful, breezy, with both river and forest scenery blending together.
However, despite how special the place looks, it wasn’t very practical for living, especially for guests who are sensitive to insects. We experienced a lot of ants in our house (Room No. 9). While it’s understandable that insects are part of a nature retreat, basic measures like ant traps or preventive treatment would help a lot.
Our room also had a Lamphu tree right above the rooftop, and its resin fell all over the surface. This made it impossible to enjoy the sky-watching experience we were looking forward to. The staff acknowledged that this issue was known from the beginning yet still assigned us this room, which was disappointing. At the very least, providing a rubber mat or protective cover could have helped.
On the positive side, the service was excellent. Every staff member was kind, helpful, and attentive. They switched our room at night when we raised the issue and even offered additional breakfast when the portion I initially selected was too small. Their hospitality was truly appreciated.
Overall, Bangkok Tree House is a place worth experiencing once for its creativity and charm, but there’s definitely room for improvement to make the stay more comfortable — especially regarding insects and room conditions. The uniqueness is real, but practicality may be an issue for certain guests."

"It’s a serene peaceful to go for! We were quite impressed about the interior and design of the place and house - even though it’s a bit rundown but it’s doable no complaint from us.
BUT if you hate ants / insects, I would not recommend this place but you have to understand because you’re living in as a cool treehouse so you cannot avoid these kind of things.
On top of that, a few staff are really unfriendly thought the majority are really nice- we get what we want.
What we would recommend is to have a motorbike is better than riding a bicycle because most interesting spots are not closed to one another riding a bike could take 30 minutes up to an hour or more. Ferry fees with motorbike for two person only 30 baht.
PS, we didn’t eat at the hotel but we went for some food in the market which is amazing and unexpectedly cheap"
