What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the diving experiences in Freeport, highlighting the knowledgeable and friendly dive instructors who make the underwater world accessible and safe. The abundance of marine life, including sharks and turtles, is a major draw. However, some day-trippers find the island less developed than expected and certain excursions can feel overly touristy.
"We did a dive with them in May. Scheduling our dive was easy and simple. The crew were friendly and smiling the whole time. You can tell they love what they do! I had emailed them prior to flying to the Bahamas to asks a few questions and they were always quick the respond. The owners are so sweet. They genuinely want thier guest to have a good and safe time in the water!"

"Amazing Experience. Melinda was very easy to work with to schedule the Dive in a Day for our trip. Of course we were hooked after our dive and they made the process of my family getting certified during the rest of our vacation enjoyable. Each dive was amazing, of course the sharks made the day when they showed up throughout dives but the beautiful coral formations were hard to top. We even got to see a loggerhead turtle swim by on our first dive. Fred has a wealth of knowledge of each dive site and the marine life which adds so much to the experience."

"Incredible experience diving with Justin, Chessa and Melinda. Fred is extremely knowledgeable, and even though he couldn't dive with us he imparted lots of practice-changing evidence based instruction which made me a better, safer diver I feel so much better after each dive.
I highly recommend Grand Bahama Scuba to anyone who's looking to learn how to dive, or advance their knowledge and become a better diver. Plan ahead, check out their website, and EMAIL when you're to book.
They'll do their best to fit you in if they can (I got lucky) but it's best to book in advance so that you won't be disappointed.
Also, I have to add that I have felt safer in Grand Bahama than I did in Paris. The local people here have been nothing but warm, kind, and accommodating."
