"This is a great bird-guiding company! My wife was in The Gambia to work on a Rotary International project so we chose to bird from our home hotel in Banjul. I chose Gambia Birding Tours based in large part on the website: I was not disappointed. We spent 3 full days with Jammeh Yankuba and we were totally impressed. Not only is Jammeh an expert birder and photographer, he is a thoughtful guide, making sure we could see the birds he spotted and that I got great photos. When needed, he would play the bird songs to attract curious birds. We really enjoyed the canoe trip in the mangroves: he patiently followed a gorgeous Malachite Kingfisher until it posed in perfect range of my lens. In our 3 days we saw a great range of habitat and bird species; I counted at least 60 new life birds. We have birded in Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Argentina and the birding with Gambia Birding Tours is clearly in the league of those birding tours. I highly recommend them!"
