What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Dare Viewpoint offers stunning panoramic views of Dili, making it a worthwhile visit for its scenery and the historical context provided by its small museum. While the drive can be challenging and the cafe basic, the breathtaking vistas and the unique historical insights make it a memorable stop.
"(04/2025) Although this place carries a powerful idea, it feels strange and run-down. Parking is difficult, the informational posters are faded, and the museum is in poor condition — there’s no actual monument on site. Instead, there’s an oddly oversized café with bland coffee and uninterested staff, playing classical music from the speakers. Wi-Fi is password-protected and not available to guests. However, the view from here is absolutely stunning."

"What a gorgeous little Cafe with the ability to learn some very important history. The Coffee and Iced Chocolate were both amazing!! A nice drive, the road there was fine on a scooter, all bitumen with very little holes."

"the drive on a bike isn’t bad but there’s a few nasty potholes that will end your day; don’t speed. once there, as with most places in dili, not great signage. it’ll be on your right as you get to a 3 way fork with a small white sign. park in the lot and then take the stairs going down in the corner. walking down some steps and mazes to get the “museum” and cafe. Great view and even tho the museum is only like 5 banners the info is very good. limited menu but my sandwich was good. bathrooms clean. limited English at restaurant but service friendly and fast. they won’t accept $1 paper bills."
