What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise NALIS for its stunning architecture and its role as a vital center for history and culture. While the library offers a peaceful environment and engaging exhibits, some minor maintenance issues and a lack of bike parking have been noted. Overall, it's considered a beautiful and informative destination.
"A must, must go. Add it to your list. I do know it's a library but it's a beautiful building. Well, my 12yr old said it's a MUST visit. There's cool display and a Rituals when you hungry. Their display talks about bringing the country together, the hardship they went through. Am sure they change display yearly, but this theme that they have (2020)is great history for the young people.I even saw a picture of my mom demonstrating back in the 70s. Trinidad is beautiful and to learn more these places is a first stop as you do your walking tour. Happy Exploring."

"The view from the office balconies are stunning and it's so breezy and calm. Note- that you must be assigned to work in the NALIS building to gain access up here."

"April 2024:
Still no bike parking!
Nov. 2023 Update:
They installed additional car parking off the sidewalk, still no bike racks! They need to read some books on the worldwide biking resurgence!
It's the National Library of Trinidad and Tobago, but no bike parking in a place with lots of space. We need to stop the car only culture, it's affecting many things. 50 years ago, children rode their bikes to the library, schools etc.."
