Reviews Summary

Midoun Souk offers a vibrant shopping experience with a wide array of goods, from artisan crafts to traditional foods. While many appreciate the lively atmosphere and the opportunity to bargain, some find the sales tactics overly aggressive. Visitors often recommend seeking out larger stores with fixed prices for a more straightforward and potentially cheaper shopping experience. Reddit+1

"Very good place for shopping. However, head for the larger stores where the prices are fixed. You'll get everything you would in the smaller stores but much cheaper. The salespeople are much less intrusive in those places, and they will leave you alone until asked for help. If you're after the authentic negotiating experience, you'll find that here as well but those salespeople are much more pushy here than on other bazaars, likely to offset the foot traffic they lose to the bigger, air-conditioned stores. Overall, it is one of the better shopping experiences on Djerba."

Janusz S.

"Nice place and good experience if you like to bargain, but better go to shopping centre with fixed prices, otherwise you will pay way too much. Market is in Thursday afternoon and Friday morning - prices are high and most of the time you will pay more. Some second hand staff as well."

Ivona Savcheva

"A souk heavily focused on tourists. On the plus side, it's modern with wide paved pedestrian streets and a good selection of fixed price shops. On the downside, it's also got the same aggressive traders as everywhere else. But that's just how it is in Tunisia. It was quiet when we went, which perhaps is why the traders were more aggressive. It's busier when the street market is taking place on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings."
