"A wonderful idea to present the history of Tunisia.
But the museum needs proper maintenance.
They need to better take care of the infrastructure and equipments, and better advertise the museum for foreigners and locals to discover."

"Our Group Leader took us here after having spent the morning in the hotel pool, the afternoon in a 4 x 4 in a galaxy far, far, away .I may have been more appreciative had I visited in a more refreshed mood.
The first part has dinosaurs! (Not real) and then one has a walk through rooms of exhibits showing the history of Tunisia. It is rather quirky, some exhibits are reproductions, some real .It did feel a little like walking through a time warp,1950 /60 's
The last part ,the reproduction of the cave house, did look very good ,and worthwhile if one is not visiting Matamata to see the real ones.
Exudes desire to share with visitors care, consideration, and love of Tunisia (in English ,French and Arabic.)
Take the children. Who does not like a good dinosaur or two."

"Very good museum, recommend to visit both (history + culture). The exhibits might need a refresh, but overall are very good. Expecially the cave houses. The clothing / jewelry exhibition is very beautiful."
