"Registered as an immovable cultural asset, the Alibaba Mosque contains numerous graves in front of it and in the large garden behind it. Furthermore, the remains of Alibaba, one of Sivas's most famous sheikhs, and his notables lie buried in a tomb within the mosque's narthex. The graves in the Ali Baba Mosque cemetery are located on the north, south, and west sides of the mosque. The graves on the north side were restored along with the mosque by the Regional Directorate of Foundations, and during the restoration, the inscribed sections of some stones were concreted. The graves and stones on the qibla and west sides of the mosque were not restored. In the narthex of the mosque are the graves of the mosque's founder, Ali Baba, and his descendants. Wooden coffins were placed to represent them. As is known, the cemeteries were primarily interred in cemeteries for the owners of the property with the cemetery, their descendants, and those of the era's elite—those with high social standing and economic status. The same situation can be observed in this cemetery. The cemetery contains sheikhs of the Sufi order, some members of the military, and, in particular, members of a family (four people) identified as having originated from Dagestan."
