"Absolutely beautiful museum! 💙 Amazing views of Bodrum Bay, fascinating shipwrecks displayed on glass and many interesting exhibits. You can really feel the spirit of history here. We visited in October — no lines, calm atmosphere. Worth spending 3–4 hours! 🏛️✨"

"Worth a visit if you’re into archeology. Entry fee is on the pricey side. Some of the exhibits inside the towers aren’t marked clearly until I saw someone coming out the door. Once inside there are some interesting exhibits but it was a nice way to cool off.
Lots of viewpoints for some nice photos. There’s a cafe and museum shop onsite."

"The museum is within a 14th Century castle that is much larger and more grand than it appears from the outside. The artifact collection was incredible. And the views of the city and Aegean were absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend visiting."

A Journey Through Maritime History
One of the museum's standout features is its extensive glass collection, displaying pieces that range from everyday vessels to ornate decorative items, all remarkably preserved. Beyond shipwrecks, the museum also exhibits artifacts from nearby necropolises, offering insights into the burial customs and beliefs of ancient civilizations that once thrived in Halicarnassus (the ancient name for Bodrum). The sheer volume and quality of these finds make it one of Turkey's most significant archaeological museums.
Exploring the museum is an immersive experience, with exhibits spread across various towers and halls within the castle. While the ticket price might seem steep to some, the educational value and the unique historical context provided by the artifacts are widely considered worth the cost. The museum offers a cool respite from the Bodrum sun and a fascinating educational journey for the entire family.

While the museum is a primary attraction, the castle itself is a historical monument worth exploring for its architecture, its strategic past, and its unparalleled vistas.
