A really wonderful museum. The building is new and modern and has excellent facilities. The exhibits are laid out very thoughtfully with signs in both Turkish and English. It gives a really great perspective on Anatolian history but also the particular history of this area of eastern Turkey.
We spent about 4 hours here in total, but were thorough and read and studied most of the exhibits. You should budget at least 2 hours.
Highly recommended! Definitely visit this museum if you have the time in Erzurum. They did a wonderful job."
