"I was not impressed. I had a bad experience with the guides harassing me for 2 km. The guides are very badly informed . I was scared to be there on my own ."

"Han-el Ba'rur Caravanserai

It is a caravanserai belonging to the Ayyubiler period (566-866 / 1171-1462) and is partially in ruins. The inn is located on the route of Harran - Ceylanpınar (Re'sü'l-ayn) - Nusaybin - Mosul - TikritSamarra - Baghdad in the mountainous region known as the Tektek Mountains. The inn is made of cut stone and has a square plan of 65.00 x 66.00 = 4290 m². From a monumental portal on the north facade, a rib-vaulted entrance iwan is accessed, and from there a nearly square courtyard measuring 43.30 x 44.80 meters is entered. There is a mosque to the right of the entrance iwan and the room of the inn's guards to the left. The flat roof that covers the inn is reached by the stairs behind the south wall of the mosque. The inn surrounding the courtyard has all the characteristics of Anatolian Seljuk caravanserais with its entrance gate, corner towers, buttress towers, mosque, bath, summer and winter spaces."
