"We spent a few days in Cappadocia and stopped in Avanos to visit Guray Museum. Such a great experience – from the history of pottery and how it all started, to incredible modern ceramic artworks. We even saw a true artist painting pottery by hand, which was amazing to watch.
The best part? You can try making your own clay piece and take it home as a souvenir. Entrance was 250 TRY/person and we stayed about an hour. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Avanos!"

"Excellent museum presenting a collection of pottery through several millenia plus amazing contemporary ceramic exhibit in the large underground cave. The store is huge with unrivaled collection of the high end ceramic items. Real gem!"
Oleg Volfson
"Interesting museum with two areas, antiques and a modern art. Ceramic focused with a nice (and massive) shop where we were even able to meet 2 of the artists. Could do with a bit more of descriptions or information."
