What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors highly recommend the İnciraltı Naval Museum for its impressive collection of well-preserved historic ships and the unique submarine tour. The low admission price is a significant draw, offering great value. However, some find the guided tours rushed and primarily in Turkish, and the physical demands of narrow passages and stairs can be challenging for some.
"The Museum Card is not valid, but we paid a very small amount. Touring with a guide offers a much different, comprehensive and permanent learning experience. The fact that soldiers who have received maritime discipline do this shows that we have the chance to listen to competent people in their fields. Depending on the crowd, it is possible to tour for 40-60 minutes, but they ask if you want to continue for the submarine tour. It is not recommended for asthmatics and those with claustrophobia. Apart from that, if you are an enormous person, it might be very difficult to visit the museum in some places because there are many narrow passages and stairs. In short, I definitely recommend it. I can say that it is a completely different experience."

"Very good Maritime Museum, you will see how really appreciate engineering how such heavy metal ship is flaunting on sea! Amazing 1 hour tour. They have some staff speaks english, you need to show your IDs (Passports or Civil IDs or Driving License), Tickets are 400 Turkish Lira per Adult, small kids are free, they accept Credit Cards, it is air-conditioned inside, they have good souvenir shop by the entrance to buy. Good staff & welcoming everyone well."

"I really enjoyed this museum, it was great to walk around the three ships and see the interiors, they have wonderfully preserved them and it generally feels like a real naval vessel still in active service. For the price, it’s impossible to not recommend. My only complaint is as much as I enjoy a guided tour, the tour was very quick and rushed and I didn’t get any opportunities to truly see the ship or read the information, and I feel I missed a lot of the ship. It would of been nice to have walked around freely or at least give patrons more time to take photos and read the information, but still an excellent museum."
