What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find Karşıyaka Bazaar to be a large, vibrant street filled with shops and restaurants, offering a great local experience. While some note issues like overcrowding and the need to haggle, the general consensus is positive, highlighting the variety of goods and the lively atmosphere.
"The binmen were in strike the day we went cause the council was not paying their wages which is disgraceful. Rubbish was everywhere and the foul smell was not nice. There were some nice boutiques and other retailers there. Of course lots of restaurants.
If ever you come here then make sure you take a nice walk.around and then get on the ferry for 30 lira across to Alsancak for an amazing day shopping. But remember aside from restaurants and supermarkets, never ever pay the full asking price as they are so damn exaggerated. Such a shame"
