"On July 8th, I visited Sand Island, located in the Çardak district of Lapseki, with my family. It's a historic island, and rumor has it that its sand has healing properties. I don't know how true that is. Furthermore, the island emerged when the Ottomans, while crossing to Gallipoli, shook the sand from a saint's foot.
There's a parking lot and a cafe. You can easily find a spot to park your car. The only problem is that the bridge connecting to the island allows only one-way traffic. This is the only place you might encounter problems. We didn't swim, but the sea was warm and the entrance was mossy. I definitely recommend seeing the island. Stay tuned for more :)"
