Reviews Summary

Many find it an accessible and informative experience, offering a deep dive into Turkish naval history. Some wish for more extensive interactive exhibits or clearer signage for certain displays.
"Impressive museum showcasing Ottoman naval history with stunning ship models, imperial boats, and artifacts. A must visit for anyone interested in Istanbul’s maritime past"
Basel
"A wonderful museum, a must-see if you are interested in the naval theme. The exhibition is large, it is better to set aside two or three hours to examine everything carefully. First you are greeted by a huge hall with magnificent boats (caique) from the Ottoman Empire. And then you pass through many small halls with various exhibits telling the history of the Turkish naval rule. There are many beautifully made scale models of ships with many details that you can look at for a very long time. An interesting hall dedicated to divers. A small hall where several ship units from cruisers of the early 20th century are exhibited. I was very impressed by the hall dedicated to the memory of the deceased Turkish sailors. And, of course, there is a separate exhibition telling about Ataturk and the sea."
