What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Sultanahmet's unparalleled location for exploring Istanbul's historical heart, with many highlighting the exceptional service and spacious accommodations, particularly at luxury properties. While the grandeur of the architecture and the overall experience are highly rated, some guests note that breakfast service and cafe quality can occasionally fall short of the otherwise impeccable standards.
"Booked a suite for my family via AMEX FHR, stayed 4 nights. Everything is 10/10 except the breakfast and cafe. They included the essentials for our infant (shower kit etc), which is certainly not expected but very kind of them.
Service overall is truly amazing, however they fall short in breakfast and cafe.
While every item of the breakfast is great, the service falls short. Every day there would be something - for the first day they only brought in 1 cup of water, where there was 5 of us as. Then, on our last day, you have to flag down a waiter even though there was usually 2-3 tables apart from us during the stay. Furthermore, the cafe is a hit or miss. One time, a guy made the coffee, and it was great. The other time, a lady made a coffee, and when I asked for it to be even shorter, she just re-ran the same puck (without grinding a new one) which is something I've yet to seen anywhere. Just seems like the team that deals with food/cafe is less eager to service than the rest.
Overall, we had originally planned on extending our stay, and this made us sway away from extending as we felt that the food & cafe service was deteriorating more and more each day."

"We had an exceptional stay at this hotel. The location cannot be beat for exploring this vibrant city. The hotel grounds are beautiful and our allocated room was very spacious and well appointed. The service level was top notch and what we expect of a Four Seasons property. The breakfast as well as our other dining experiences here was excellent. We would not hesitate to recommend this property to any of our friends or family."

"There are 5 star hotels, There are luxury hotels and top of these, there is another category which this hotel belongs to that only few can make into. When you come to stay here, other hotels just feel mediocre. No wonder why they got so many awards.. Four Seasons already known for the luxury hospitality but I think this one raise the bar even for FS standards. This place has by far most sophisticated and luxurious breakfast I ever seen in any hotel in the World. I hate when breakfast buffet in hotels seems to have unlimited options with big setups but can’t really find what you want. Here everything is freshly prepared in small quantities placed in a unpretentious buffet and you order other items from menu and it’s cooked up to your taste. Everything designed around quality. Nothing here done for sake of checking the box. Atmosphere is also amazing and everything feels just right. If you want to see and experience what a real luxury hotel is.. This is the right place to stay in Istanbul. I will go even beyond to say that this is a hotel one can travel to Istanbul just to stay here."
