Here’s our full story:
I booked this hotel for a family vacation in Istanbul through Booking.com. The reservation clearly stated “payment upon check-in.” I’ve made dozens of bookings on the same platform, some hotels charge in advance which I never had a problem with, some don’t—this one specifically said payment at the property.
I planned our day carefully: airport pickup, city tour, and then straight to the hotel to finally rest. Because we were on the road, I had no internet connection for a few hours—which is normal when traveling.
When we arrived, tired and expecting to check in, the hotel informed us they had canceled our reservation. Their explanation? They “tried to reach me but my phone was out of coverage. Also their comment below!” Of course it was. And nothing in the booking stated that failure to answer a call cancels the reservation, especially when the payment was due at check-in.
They then tried to push us to “another hotel down the road,” with no clear details about quality or safety.
But the worst part was the receptionist’s behavior. When I calmly objected to this treatment—after hours of travel with my family—he shouted at me and kicked me out of the hotel. He refused to even let me use the WiFi to secure a new reservation. My family had to wait outside with our luggage while I walked to a nearby café just to get internet and find a place to stay last-minute.
The level of disrespect, unprofessionalism, and complete lack of hospitality was unbelievable.

"Please avoid this fraudulent hostel! I don't understand how it was approved as a suitable place to stay. Despite booking ahead on booking.com, I arrived at the location after a long international flight with family members from another country. However, the reception staff simply ignored us, claiming there were plumbing issues and could not provide a room.
I requested Wi-Fi access to cancel my reservation, but after hours of waiting, I discovered that they do not protect their customers. Ultimately, I had to find a hotel for my family after looking forward to a wonderful vacation that turned into a series of challenges.
To make matters worse, I inquired about their breakfast buffet, and it had the worst hygiene and lowest quality I could imagine.
I'm sharing this review to warn anyone who might be misled by the previous inauthentic reviews of this place. Just to note, I ended up paying for both this hostel and the hotel."
