"Definitely one of the must sees while in Chernivtsi. The university complex is impressive, built in a mixture of different architectural styles reflecting to the mixed cultural background of the city.
You can visit the buildings in group with a guide."

"Edited from previous review: 5 stars for the guide, zero stars for the guards at the gate.

As a non-Ukranian speaker, I struggled to figure out how to get in here. I asked the guards and surrounding shops how to buy a ticket via Google Translate. The shops said I could buy them from the guard. The guard said only guided tours are allowed, but was dismissive, vague and unhelpful about how to find a guide or buy tickets. So I looked up the tourism information centre at Town Hall, they apparently have been shuttered since 2022.

Finally by reading through the Google reviews, I realised there is a guide who comes for everyone standing outside the gate every hour on the hour. There is also a small sign that sort of indicates this on the gate, which mea culpa I didn't notice at first. The tour was not in English, but the guide was very kind when I let her know I don't speak Ukranian and explained things to me separately. I was able to pay 80UAH in cash at the finish of the tour. In the end it was a nice place, I just wish it hadn't been such a frustrating experience to figure it out."

"Beautiful grounds and gardens. Tours are available in English which was an added bonus because the guides take you into various rooms and halls that you would otherwise not have access."
