Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the State Aviation Museum of Ukraine as one of the best aviation museums they've ever visited, highlighting the vast collection of Soviet-era aircraft and the unique opportunity to enter many of them. While some note the museum's dated appearance and potential lack of funding, this is often seen as adding to its authentic, 'untouched' charm. Staff may have limited English proficiency, but the overall experience is highly recommended for its value and immersive nature.

"Maybe the best planes museum you will ever be to. Enjoy. You are going to see the most popular USSR passenger planes: IL-86, IL-62, TU-134, the famous first soviet jet TU-104 and many others. All comes in original "Aeroflot" paintings.
Some of them are open to enter (for free), check the website.

Though have to note, museum is visibly lacking funds for maintenance. Looks like it was left in eighties to this day. Bit it is an advantage for you in some way, you can feel it "untouched"."

"One of the best places I've been in my lifetime, a massive range of aviation aircraft from early 20th century and modern day. You can go inside some of the aircraft including the cockpit of some. And it is also a great place for kids to go and have a look and experience it. Only issue I had was the staff who spoke little English but that is expected. A good day out should take around 2-3 hours."

"Must visit place if you live aviation. They’ve got everything you can imagine from soviet times. Also offering in cabin visit to some of their tupolevs. Very valuable experience for a dime. Get here is so easy , you can even walk from the terminal. They have a little hill as well if you wish to do some plane spotting . Sikorsky airport isn’t the main airport of Kiev so there isn’t to many traffic in there"
