Real Visit Stories
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Lviv Opera House for its breathtaking architecture and high-quality opera and ballet performances. The unique 'sloping' stage and stunning interior are frequently highlighted. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, some mention that ticket availability for popular shows can be limited, and understanding the language of the opera can enhance the experience.
"We visited on a rainy day — the building looked absolutely beautiful and magical in the rain."
Valeria Nazarova
"A beautiful and historic opera house, with an ornate marble interior, a classic theatre with balconies, and the only 'sloping' stage I have ever seen. They put on high quality operas, with very professional casts and costumes even in wartime. Of course almost all of them are in Ukrainian or Italian, but it's still worth a visit for the experience. The price is around 500-600 UAH for a seat in the 'stalls'. If it's a midweek performance you can usually get a ticket just before the show from the box office, no need to book online."
Stephen Psallidas
"We were able to go in an watch auditions, but there were no shows the week we were there. It is beautiful. You can hear the singers several blocks away. Long before you see the building."
